Designed and built a desktop tool that ingests production planning data from Excel files in Cipla's existing formats, runs constraint-based optimization using Python and SciPy, and outputs results back in the exact Excel format expected by their workflow — requiring zero changes to existing processes.
Reduced weekly planning time from 6 hours to under 5 minutes, achieved ~11% cost savings in production planning, and eliminated the scope for manual errors entirely.
